Setting Global Font Styles in Generator

1. Lesson Title Setting Up Font Styles in Global Theme Settings

2. How-To Article

Overview

Generator's global theme settings have two places where font styles are configured. This lesson covers the first: the Fonts section, where you set high-level styles that all headlines, body text, and links inherit from. Granular per-element styles are handled in the Text section, covered in the next lesson.

Accessing Font Settings

  1. From your HubSpot page editor, click Edit to open the global theme settings panel.
  2. Click into Fonts in the left settings menu.

What You'll Configure Here

The Fonts section is where you establish top-level font styles for two groups:

  • Headline — controls font family, weight, and color for all heading elements
  • Body — controls font family, weight, and color for all body text

Setting Your Font Styles

For each group — Headline and Body — configure the following three properties:

  • Font Family — choose your desired typeface
  • Font Weight — set the default weight (e.g., regular, bold)
  • Font Color — set the default text color

These settings apply globally, meaning every headline and body text element across your site will inherit from these values unless overridden at a more granular level.

This lesson introduced the Fonts section of Generator's global theme settings, covering how to set the font family, weight, and color for headline and body text groups. These high-level settings act as the foundation that all text elements inherit from across the site. The next lesson will go deeper into the Text section, where per-element font styles are configured.
