How to Edit HubSpot Blog Listing Templates

Navigating to the Blog Listing Template

After setting up your blog listing template in HubSpot settings, you'll be taken to the Blog Listing Pages section automatically. If you need to return to it later, navigate to Content > Blog — this shows your blog posts. To reach the blog listing template editor, click the Configure button, then select Blog Listing Pages.

Understanding the Default Template

You'll see one template listed, named something like Generator Blog Listing Template. Out of the box, it includes a basic hero section, some text, and a blog listing area below. The blog listing area will appear empty until you have published posts — unpublished posts will not appear here.

To test how posts render, create a few posts and publish them to your HubSpot staging URL. Once published, they'll populate the blog listing cards automatically.

Customizing the Blog Listing Template

The Generator Blog Listing template is fully drag-and-drop, just like website and landing page templates. You can add sections, columns, images, gradients, and modules to build the layout you want.

To configure how posts display, click on the Blog Listing module and adjust the module settings:

  • Layout style — card view or list view
  • Columns — how many card columns to output
  • Card content — choose what post information appears on each card

Styling the Blog Cards

Open the Settings panel to style the cards to match the rest of your site. Options include:

  • Featured image display
  • Spacing and background color
  • Border style, corner radius, and shadow styles

Finishing Touches

Before wrapping up, go into Page Settings to:

  • Update the meta description
  • Connect the page to any HubSpot campaigns
  • Set a featured image for the listing page
